Harriett died at 8:50 PM Monday evening, 9/17/01, after fighting a 10 year battle with Breast Cancer. Her sister arrived shortly before and we were with her at home. Her passing was very peaceful with just a final sigh with her last breath.

Here is an excerpt from the death notice which appeared in Sunday's Washington Post on 9/23/01, as well as papers in Rochester and Batavia, New York. There will be an obituary with some of the highlights of her life and career later on but before the funeral.
